Welcome to New Scalyr UI!
What is New?
We have rewritten the Scalyr UI from scratch on a new technology stack while modernizing its look and feel. You can now opt in to the new UI via the user menu. We greatly appreciate any feedback you can provide.
Major areas of change include a revamped dashboard UI, dark mode, a drawer that shows log line details, and the ability to easily switch between old and new UIs, or between light and dark modes.
For additional information please see the "New Scalyr UI Announcement."
Browser Support
Please see our product documentation at "System Requirements."
Toggling Between New and Old UIs
While we support toggling between the New and Old User Interfaces, we do not support having both interfaces active on different tabs of the same browser. If you switch to a different UI in one tab, the behavior of your other open tabs on the previous UI will be unpredictable.
New UI No Longer Requires Using "$" on Searches
All queries will search inherited fields even if the $
is missing. For example, $parser = 'foo'
and parser = 'foo'
will find the same results. This change normalizes the behavior across queries whether traditional searches or Power Queries.

Labs Update
The following labs are part of the Scalyr New UI and don't require toggling to enable them:
- Post Graphs To Slack
- SmartLinks
The following labs are no longer needed as we've introduced a single interface that supports searching large amounts of data either because you specified a very long date range or you have a very high volume of logs.
- Reduce Graph Page Timeouts
- Reduce Search Timeouts
- Reduce Power Query Timeouts
Forthcoming Labs
We are still working to bring these labs to you in the New UI
- Graph Annotations
- Cross-team search
- SPM
Deprecated Feature(s)
- We've eliminated the support for the "Jump To" functionality on the Search page.
